This platform was created as a way for companies to extend the reach and life of the demos that they create. So much time and effort goes into creating a demonstration for a show, that it only makes sense to try to capture that demo and make it available to others that could not attend the show. The interface is very dynamic and configures itself on the fly based on the demos selected.
The platform is very versatile in that you can slice and dice the view of the demos in many ways. The most basic use of the platform is going to http://virtualshowfloor.com and then selecting to view demos by a specific event or by a technology. If you want to send someone a link to a specific event or specific technology, you can do that by pointing them to http://virtualshowfloor.com/event/xyz or http://virtualshowfloor/technology/xyz where xyz represents the event or technology. Similarly can also go directly to a booth by typing in http://virtualshowfloor.com/booth/xyz where xyz equals the booth title. All these links can be found at the bottom of the screen when you are viewing an event, technology or booth.
It is also possible within the interface to create a custom event with specific demos in it, and then send a link to that custom event to someone. To do this, simply view the demos you want to add to the custom event and when viewing a demo, click on the [+Add to Event] button in the bottom right hand corner of the screen. Do the same for any other demos you want to add to your custom event. When finished, click on the [View Cart] button on the right hand side of the screen and give your event a name. After filling in your email address, you will then receive an email with the URL for your custom event that only shows those demos.
